Journalists CornerThe CIPESA Media Corner is a place where journalists interested in ICT policy issues affecting the East and Southern African region can gather together to share ideas, find information, and get published in new venues. Journalist's discussion listCIPESA hosts an online discussion list as a platform for journalists to talk amongst themselves and to draw on CIPESA experience in the field to inform their work when needed. Journalists can apply to join the list by sending a request to media@cipesa.org. CIPESA Media AwardsThe CIPESA Media Awards is a competition for journalists who are covering the international ICT policy space in East and Southern Africa. The Awards are intended to stimulate analytical articles on ICT policy and recognize excellence in the field. In addition to publication in regional media outlets and daily newspapers of the respective journalists, the articles submitted will be posted in this space. In response to the Louder Voices recommendation to provide timely information to African stakeholders on international ICT policy processes, CIPESA has launched the annual media awards for journalists who cover ICT issues in the region. The competition, to be adjudicated by a panel of renowned media and ICT policy researchers, will see the top three winners walk away with prizes including a laptop computer, cam coder and more. This year’s competition began on September 1, 2005 and will run up to December 31, 2005.
