ICT Policy CalendarOctober, 2010Date: October 12-14, 2010 venue: Cape Town, South Africa Organizer: the SAP/Meraka UTD in Pretoria South Africa in collaboration with CREATE-NET (Italy) ICT4D is an international conference focusing on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) innovation and impact for developing countries. It provides a unique forum where academic and economic actors of the developing world can meet and exchange. The research field covering ICT and development is fairly broad and includes among others the following themes:
The conference is organized into three tracks: RESEARCH TRACKThe Research Track consists of a high quality program of double-blind peer reviewed scientific publication covering all areas of ICT4D. Publications shall meet the 16 pages, single-column and other formating guidelines. Accepted papers will be published in the LNICST series by Springer, will recieve an ISBN and will be available online through Springer scientific web portal. INDUSTRY TRACKThe Industry Track is an opportunity for economic actors of the developing world to present problematics, experiences and solutions while allowing to network with researcher and other industrials. Presentation will be selected on the basis of a two pages extended abstract. DEMO TRACKThe Demo Track will provide visibility to research prototypes through a poster and demonstration.
